Celebrating 27 years engineering outstanding results
Covey Associates celebrates 27 years in business.
Covey Associates is a family-owned business established on the Sunshine Coast in 1990. From humble beginnings, it has expanded to four offices, with its head office in Maroochydore and others in Tamworth and Narrabri and a visiting office in Papua New Guinea.
Between them, the Covey Associates teams oversee large-scale projects across Australia and around the globe in regions of Papua New Guinea, Fiji and the Middle East.
Covey Associates is now recognised as a highly experienced and multi-faceted engineering business providing one-stop services, delivering more than 90 per cent of its work in-house to ensure the highest quality results and accountability to its clients.
The Tamworth office works predominantly with the local authority and the team has designed many examples of major infrastructure, including bridges and agriculture and storage facilities. The office also has extensive experience in developing greyhound and racing facilities in Australia and the Middle East.
In 1991, Covey Associates opened a visiting office in Papua New Guinea as a base for delivering major infrastructure and construction projects. To cater for its growth and work around Australia, Covey Associates acquired the established Kelley Covey Group at Tamworth in 2002.
Further offices were opened in Rockhampton in 2009 and Gladstone in early 2012. The Rockhampton office was closed in April 2016.
Over the past 27 years, Covey Associates has been instrumental in securing approvals for numerous master-planned communities, including the original master-planned community at Peregian Springs for Kurts Development Ltd, Noosa Parklands Estate, Parklakes at Bli Bli and Sandstone Lakes at Ningi.
Other developments include the 10-Storey Seabourn and Providence apartments in Caloundra, Castaways Cove at Marcus Beach, the Riverside Centre in Maleny and extensive ongoing work in aged care and retirement.
Overseas, the firm created and project-managed the wharf design and construction, accommodation and mess hall for the Simberi Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea and was part of a joint venture for upgrading 15 telecommunication towers for PNG Telecom from Lae to Rabaul.
Covey Associates has earned a reputation for quality, consistency and outstanding results that has been recognised with numerous awards.
We look forward to building on our success in the years ahead as we tackle new and exciting engineering challenges for our clients throughout Australia and overseas.
