The Lakes on Gatakers development is a proposed 124-lot residential subdivision for Hervey Bay, Queensland.

The project presented several design challenges due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the necessity to cater for storm tide surge, while also providing stormwater treatment to runoff from the development.

The Covey team successfully thought outside the square for this site, by adopting innovative design elements and undergoing close consultation with local Council to ensure that the project would fulfil the client’s aims. The resulting positive outcomes for all parties will enable the client to deliver a landmark development for the region.
