The site is located adjacent a large flood plain that abuts the Maroochy River and is impacted by backwater effects from flooding the Maroochy River. The Maroochy River has a catchment almost 270 times larger than the local catchment. Hydrodynamic 1D/2D flood impact analyses were completed to determine the existing flood inundation extent on the subject site and surrounding properties.
