Covey Associates were engaged by Banana to undertake a flood investigation to determine any potential impacts on surrounding properties, communities and infrastructure a flood levee project at Thangool Aerodrome may present.

Numerous flood events and scenarios were assessed using 2D hydraulic flood modelling to assist in identifying the most acceptable solution. Results from the various flood simulations were presented in a technical report to Banana Shire Council.
