Parklakes 2 is an innovation in urban development and stormwater management. This greenfield development is treated by a 2,100 m2 floating wetland, which also manages the health of a 5 ha lake system via recirculation.

The floating wetland at Parklakes 2 is the world’s largest stormwater treatment floating wetland and the first implementation of such a system in a greenfield development.

As part of a research partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast and Parklakes II Developments, Covey Associates is involved in a world class research project on how floating wetlands function to treat urban runoff.
