We have a long history of involvement with urban development projects. We work on both small and large projects, and specialise in master planned communities.

We have an experienced team of Civil Engineers, Designers and Drafters. We take ownership of a project, preparing preliminary designs to support planning applications through to detailed Civil Engineering design documentation using the latest software and computer modelling.

Covey's multi-disciplinary team brings unique insights into all types of development, with experts in supporting disciplines providing design input into each project to achieve the best design outcome.

Construction Phase Services

Once you have your approval, we have a team of experienced Project Managers that deliver your project. We provide the full scope of services; preparing tender documentation, managing the tender phase, as well as preparing tender analysis to assist you with finding your project constructor.​

We prepare contract documentation and arrange all the necessary pre commencement activities with the Local Council or State Authorities, assisting with your risk mitigation.​

We can act as the superintendent on construction projects, administering contracts and attending to all necessary inspections to ensure the design intent is met.​

Our expertise in managing the completion stage of your project crucially involves ensuring that all approval conditions are met. We also confirm that the maintenance period requirements are monitored and managed all the way through to a successful handover.​

Major Civil Infrastructure

Covey has been responsible for the design, construction supervision and certification aspects of numerous major infrastructure project. ​

These projects have included trafficable and pedestrian bridges, tidal navigation lock and weir structures, Local Government Infrastructure Planning (LGIP) strategic road corridor alignments, assessments and reporting, Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) road and intersection upgrades including road widening, and arterial road roundabouts, priority and signalised intersections. We have also completed utilities projects, such as Unitywater trunk infrastructure including water network upgrades and augmentation, sewer pump stations and rising mains.​

Unitywater Certification

Covey is a Unitywater Accredited Entity and has a team of registered Certifiers across all certification categories who are able to assess and approve Unitywater Connection and Network Works applications required for eligible development projects. Covey also offers Unitywater registered Construction Phase Certification services.​

We maintain regular engagement with Unitywater through representation on the uCertify Strategy committee, which puts us in the best position to handle your Unitywater applications and stay on top of the latest developments. We can handle any issues arising from Unitywater applications directly with Unitywater to get the best outcomes for your development.​

Covey has a proven track record of Unitywater Certification since 2018, with a reputation of delivering careful attention to detail, comprehensive documentation and record keeping.

Technical Reporting​ & Project Feasibility

We can prepare a range of technical reports to support development applications such as Engineering Services, Stormwater Management, Flood Investigation, Water and Sewer Network Analysis, Construction Management and Dilapidation Reports.​

We have qualified Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control who can prepare your ESC plans and reports. We also undertaken ESC inspections to ensure your site is compliant and provide reporting to the local authority.​

We can prepare your project feasibility study, prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates, project budget and cashflows including reporting for valuations or financial institutions.
