We have an experienced team of Civil Engineers, Designers and Drafters. We take ownership of a project, preparing preliminary designs to support planning applications through to detailed Civil Engineering design documentation using the latest software and computer modelling.

We prepare contract documentation and arrange all the necessary pre commencement activities with the Local Council or State Authorities, assisting with your risk mitigation.
We can act as the superintendent on construction projects, administering contracts and attending to all necessary inspections to ensure the design intent is met.
Our expertise in managing the completion stage of your project crucially involves ensuring that all approval conditions are met. We also confirm that the maintenance period requirements are monitored and managed all the way through to a successful handover.

These projects have included trafficable and pedestrian bridges, tidal navigation lock and weir structures, Local Government Infrastructure Planning (LGIP) strategic road corridor alignments, assessments and reporting, Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) road and intersection upgrades including road widening, and arterial road roundabouts, priority and signalised intersections. We have also completed utilities projects, such as Unitywater trunk infrastructure including water network upgrades and augmentation, sewer pump stations and rising mains.
Covey offers several services supporting Major Civil Infrastructure including:

Covey is a Unitywater Accredited Entity and has a team of registered Certifiers across all certification categories who are able to assess and approve Unitywater Connection and Network Works applications required for eligible development projects. Covey also offers Unitywater registered Construction Phase Certification services.

We can handle any issues arising from Unitywater applications directly with Unitywater to get the best outcomes for your development.

We have qualified Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control who can prepare your ESC plans and reports. We also undertaken ESC inspections to ensure your site is compliant and provide reporting to the local authority.
We can prepare your project feasibility study, prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates, project budget and cashflows including reporting for valuations or financial institutions.

Kristine is experienced in a range of Civil Engineering roles for both public and private sector clients, her core skill set is in the design, management and implementation of civil infrastructure projects with particular emphasis on residential subdivisions, external works, master planned developments and aged care communities.
Kristine has been involved in multi-disciplinary planning for large scale projects, working on preliminary planning through to detailed design, managing the application and approval phase, client liaison and local authority negotiations, project management of consultants and contractors, technical supervision of design teams and contract management including site supervision.
Kristine is a Unitywater Major Connections Certifier having prepared numerous applications for a diverse range of projects. Her goal is to provide a professional service in a friendly and competent manner whilst achieving excellent outcomes for clients.

Chris is the Managing Director of Covey Associates Pty Ltd. He is an Engineer with experience in the appraisal, design and construction of the built environment in Australia and United Kingdom. Chris has over 30 years industry experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to every project he is involved with.
The lead civil engineer on many coastal projects, Chris works closely with the broader Covey team to provide the best results for clients, the local authority, and the environment. With a background in both civil and structural engineering, Chris has a reputation for delivering practical solutions to complex problems.
Chris is also an Accredited Unitywater Major Connection Certifier
