Our structural team has design experience in reinforced concrete, post tensioned and precast concrete tilt panels, ultrafloor, CSR hume deck), concrete wall systems ( Ritek, AFS, Dincell), lightweight and structural steel structures, timber structures, masonry structures, timber, steel and concrete piling. Covey Associates are also currently investigating CLT and mass timber medium rise structures.
We have expertise in new generation Building Information Modelling (BIM) using the REVIT structure platform. BIM helps streamline design, offering structure visualisation before construction. Coupled with the latest 3D analytical and design software, this documentation philosophy ensures every detail is considered, leading to efficient and effective designs, irrespective of complexity.

Bli Bli Village
Bli Bli Village Centre is a large commercial development in the Bli Bli town centre at the heart of the growing Sunshine Coast. The Centre is an iconic development that’s defining the changing face of Bli Bli’s historic township.
Covey Associates have been involved in the creation of Bli Bli Village Centre from its initial planning throughout its construction to date. Covey’s team developed the stormwater management plan and preliminary civil engineering plans to accompany the development application. Covey then prepared the detailed engineering plans for the civil works and structural engineering of the buildings. Our team have liaised with many major stakeholders at each step, including Sunshine Coast Council, Unitywater and the Department of Transport and Main Roads throughout the approval process.
Maroochy Multi-Sports Buildings, Maroochydore
Covey Associates assisted the development and expansion of the existing Maroochy Multi sports facilities at Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast.
The project incorporated new, two-storey structures to provide for AFL, Netball and buildings for coaching and training. These buildings include amenities, viewing and coaching areas, function areas, change rooms and administration space.
Sundale Aged Care Development Stage 1, Nambour
The Sundale Aged Care Development at Nambour, Sunshine Coast is an expansive development over numerous stages. It includes a mix of independent living, high care living and associated integrated facilities.
Stage 1 features a seven-storey building with 72 independent living units and a seven-storey ILU high care 160 bed facility with well-designed communal areas of a wellness centre, theatre, shops, gallery, cafes and more on its lower levels.
