One of our clients purchased an allotment that was surrounded on all sides by tall open forest and undulating topography. The challenge was to locate two residential dwellings on the site without incurring the significant construction material costs associated with high a BAL.

Our brief was to find solutions to reduce construction costs while still providing bushfire mitigation solutions. We utilised SPARK software developed by the CSIRO to balance the construction costs and need to create firebreaks in complex terrain, meeting our client’s needs.
