Water Sensitive Urban Design

Erosion and Sediment Control Design and Site Auditing
Covey Associates has several Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESCs) on staff. We are able to provide a high level of expertise in the design of Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) strategies and in site management. We have completed site audits in Queensland since 2010 that range in complexity and have worked closely with State and Local Governments, as well as the development and construction industry.

We have pioneered several design processes, including best practice design strategies for the use of floating wetlands for a variety of water treatment projects.

Parklakes 2
Parklakes 2 is an innovation in urban development and stormwater management. This greenfield development is treated by a 2,100 m2 floating wetland, which also manages the health of a 5 ha lake system via recirculation.
Pelican Waters
Based on our success at Parklakes 2, we were approached by the developers of Pelican Waters, an upscale development on the Sunshine Coast with ocean access, to see if floating wetlands could be utilised in a saline canal system.
Flagstone
Flagstone is a large-scale development located in Jimboomba, Queensland. Covey Associates has been engaged by PEET Limited since 2012 to provide advice regarding erosion and sediment control on a 2,000 ha+ site.
