Covey Associates assisted the development and expansion of the existing Maroochy Multi sports facilities at Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast.

The project incorporated new, two-storey structures to provide for AFL, Netball and buildings for coaching and training. These buildings include amenities, viewing and coaching areas, function areas, change rooms and administration space.

The project’s structural design is a mix of steel, timber and concrete suspended floor, wall and roof structures. The buildings were required to be raised above the proposed flood levels on compacted fill and required a reinforced concrete slab on the ground supported by steel screw piers.

The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget and is a significant community asset for the region.
